In Achham district, Samabikas-Nepal launched a campaign in 2012 to demolish chhaugoths. On December 31, 2012, Samabikas-Nepal declared Bhageshwor ward to be the first chhaupadi-free (menstruation-free) ward in Achham district and the whole Sudurpaschim province, despite facing several challenges. That was a major milestone . This achievement was a significant turning point for our organization.
